CWC Cultural Rounds
Welcome to the beautiful Connecting with Country Collection, a unique collaboration between proud Kamilaroi Man Colin Muggleton and Maureen Hayes - Owner, designer and creator at Natural Play for Children. This product range was first launched at the Early Childhood Resources Market in 2022 in Newcastle.
Each design been carefully selected by Colin, helping to bring his story to life. Each Cultural Symbol is then scanned by our laser and then engraved to produce a truly tactile and sensory cultural symbol. These sets are made in small batches only and not mass produced as per Colin’s request.
Colin and Maureen have spent many hours trying to perfect the look and feel of each Cultural round. The use of recycled/seasoned natural Australian Timbers makes each piece unique in shape, size, texture, colour, and how it reacts to the laser burning process. No two pieces will or can ever be the same - just like plants and animals in nature, they will each have their own unique characteristics.
The passion behind this collection is to encourage Cultural inclusion and Acknowledgement of Indigenous Peoples and their Culture in Everyday Play for both Children and Adults alike.
